I am a 61 year old male that learned this about 40 years ago.
I have made many baby Afgans and lap Afgans though out the years.
I have 3 sons, 2 step daughters and 15 grand children I have made either blankets or bedspeads for.
I hope you enjoy seeing my display of Afgans.

This is Robins, my oldest step daughter. This is the only one I put tassels on. I would never use tassels for a baby as they put everything in thier mouths and could choke on them. Terrible thought !
This is odds and ends left over from other Afghans I have made, Inside of throwing away good material I made this. No special lay out but putting them on to see what comes out. Leave a comment if you like it or not. Interesting to read your thoughts on this one.
This one is also extra. Small for a baby girl being its Lilac and pink. I had extra material laying around so I made this in a couple of nights.
This one belongs to Donita. She adopted me as her grand father before moving away from us. She loves holloween I guess because she picked these colors herself. She also loves fishing and being a girl scout.
This is the new pattern I started using for grand children or for friends babies. This is a extra one I made so I have one on hand for giving away.
Here is the new pattern again except for a girl. Being a new grand daughter or a friend having a baby.
This one use to belong to my mother who passed away in 2001. I made this for her before she went into the nursing home which she lived in for 15 years.
This is Alivia's our newest grand daughter born Feb 2008. A little girl at birth, only 3 lbs but doing great now. Soon she gets to go home to her family.
This one is Adams, our newest grandson. Born Nov 2007.
This Afghan I made for my wife Linda. She picked out her colors but the digital camera doesn't pick up purples very well.
